THE LUSH HAUL: PART 3.

Today I am back with a very well overdue Lush haul. I recently finished off my collection of bath bombs that had been hanging around since Christmas so I knew that it was inevitable that a little splurge was bound to happen. There where a couple of items that I knew straight off the bat that I was going to repurchase along with some slightly different products that where just calling my name.

Today I am sharing something with you that is quite possibly one of my favourite little DIY/life hacks to date. It truly is the little things that please me and with this being something that combines two of my favourite topics, DIYs and beauty this one was always bound to be a winner. 

THE LUSH BATH BOMB HAUL.

Do you remember back in October when I posted The First Of Many Lush Hauls? Well, today I am back with another round up of all things Lush and this one is solely dedicated to bath bombs and bubble bars. For years now, long before even working for Lush, I have always been a huge fan of the bath range and to be honest, there seriously aren't many products that I haven't tried so I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my personal highlights of the beloved bath range. 

CHARLOTTE TILBURY K.I.S.S.I.N.G LIPSTICKS.

There are very few things in this world that will make me straight up throw my money at a sales assistant but Charlotte Tilbury makeup is most certainly one of them. I have quite a collection of her products slowly growing in my makeup stash that easily deserve a mention of their own but today I wanted to take a moment to talk about my favourite, the lipsticks.

I guess it was kind of inevitable that working for Lush would increase the amount of their products appearing on my bathroom shelves. However I feel that I was somewhat naive in just how long my wish list would grow in such a short space of time. Today I am going to share with you some of the products I couldn't help but throw in my basket along with some things I received in training and even had a hand in making myself!

Who would have thought it? Two beauty post's in the space of two weeks! I do not know what is going on and why all of a sudden I have an urge to share my beauty findings with you but I am going to roll with it. 

DIY: NEGATIVE SPACE MANICURE.

It has been a long ass time since I last posted anything beauty related here on Ladylike Len. That is not to say I don't love beauty and all the fun that comes with it but I don't really have any passion regarding writing about it. I do however love a cheeky little DIY post, so I decided to crack out the nail varnish and try out some new nail art ideas. 

AUTUMN/WINTER NAILS 2013.

We have already established here on this blog that I am a nail polish junkie. The amount of times I have received "that look" from friends and my boyfriend for commenting that I have nothing to wear on my nails in front of a stash of 100+ polishes is criminal. Addicted, guilty as charged and whole lot of no shame. This autumn is no different and I have been dying to add some new shades to my collection, I'm looking at you Essie's winter collection. Despite this in some form of an attempt to use up what I have I decided to go on a hunt and pull out my favourite 6 shades that have been donning my finger tips for the past few weeks. 

Starting from left to right we have Seche Smokey a deep charcoal with shimmer unlike any other polish I own, despite not being a huge shimmer/metallic fan when it comes to nails I adore this on the nails and is a much more flattering alternative to black. Next up we have Models Own Prussian Blue a bright royal blue that has been gracing my nails even more than my beloved Nails Inc Baker Street, this is in fact a matt polish but I have layered on my trusty Seche topcoat to make the swatch glossy as thats how I paint my nails daily, 2 coats of this and a super shiny topcoat leave you with the most perfect inky blue nails, possibly my favourite of them all! Now we move onto Seche Bella, another shimmer polish that has somehow stolen my heart, this is a deep red shimmer that is the perfect compromise between creamy colours and glitter, perfect for the christmas season! Next up we have one of my all time favourite nail varnish shades come summer or winter, Nails Inc Piccadilly Circus, the most perfect cerise pink that looks flawless all year round, hand down the nail varnish I always go to when I want a hint of berry on my nails despite photographing slightly more red in the above shots.  Next is the oddball of the bunch and one i'm still not sure if i'm completely sold on but recently I keep finding myself learning towards the more taupe, violet, grey side of neutrals and Ciate Fade to Greige has been ticking all of those boxes, a nice alternative to a nude that looks lovely paired with a silver glitter topcoat and some jewellery to match. Last but by no means least we have the infamous Nails Inc Porchester Square, the most stunning nude polish on the market, with a perfect hint of grey this polish gives you that classic manicure without looking like you have mannequin hands that wash out your complexion and goes with every possible outfit under the sun.

DIY: STUDDED NAIL ART.

Today I have rustled up a little DIY for you that is super easy when you have all the right tools and a steady hand! Studded nails are an simple way to jazz up a plain polish that can be applied on all nails or simply to your ring finger for a hint of detail. I came up with 5 easy designs all from the one studded nail art wheel but there are millions of variations that you could come up with.  

All you'll need for this DIY is a base coat of your choice, a clear topcoat, some nail studs and a pair of tweezers. As you can see I picked Models Own Black Magic and Seche Vite Dry Fast Topcoat , I chose to use black simply as it is a great canvas and contrasts with the gold and silver studs. As for Seche Vite it is literally the best topcoat and leaves your nails with salon quality shine and dry's in half the time of your standard varnish. You can purchase this exact nail art wheel from Missguided for £3.99 or you can purchase specific studs from via eBay sellers such as this. The wheel also includes pearls and gems if you're not into the studded trend but I'll save that for another day! To achieve this look simply apply a base coat and leave to dry. Once dry add a generous coating of topcoat and then simply pick up your tweezers, select your studs and just pop them on in the design of your choice. Once finished seal with another topcoat and you are done! 

I personally love the crosses but i'm still a 14 year old goth at heart so that was to be expected.
