DIY: HAND PAINTED EASTER EGGS.

You know what, I think I probably painted my first Easter egg about 20 years ago now and I can still to this day vividly remember painting them throughout primary school. Saying that though it had never occurred to me in my adult life to paint eggs, but this year I have seen a huge revival of them over on Pinterest and I thought why not give it a shot myself, even if only for nostalgias sake.

DIY: EASTER CAKE TOPPERS.

With Easter quickly approaching I thought it was about time I got together a couple of Easter themed DIYs for you to try at home. In my household we don't really celebrate Easter as neither of us are religious but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good Easter egg as much as the next person and it is always nice to get into the spirit and watch the children in the family revel in finding the eggs that the Easter Bunny left for them in the garden.

RECENT HOMEWEAR PURCHASES.

Not the most inspiring title there Jessica but we shall roll with it. We've had our apartment valued for sale this week and fingers crossed we will be putting it on the market at the beginning of April. Meaning that these types of post will be put on the back burner for a while whilst we save some money towards moving costs and all the things we are undoubtedly going to have to buy moving into a much larger property.  One thing I cannot say no to though is a bargain so I wanted to share some of the little bits I could not help but pick up over the past couple of weeks.

5 TO FOLLOW ON PINTEREST.

I am self confessed Pinterest addict. There is not a single day that goes by where I don't scroll down my beautiful feed of images, let alone re-pin a whole bunch of them! Pinterest is a great source of inspiration for creatives and homemakers alike and has replaced my magazine subscriptions for a free feed of colour, design, ideas and creativity.

SUMMER VICTORIA SPONGE.

You might have thought, 'girl, are you mad?' when you first saw the title of this blog post but trust me, it is all about the summer fruits not the current season with this one. I recently gifted a friend a great recipe book which included a Victoria sponge that looked like something straight out of a French patisserie. So thought I would try my hand at recreating something similar as I have been on the hunt for a way of tarting up a classic Victoria sponge for a while now and this what I came up with.

BLOOM & WILD UNBOXING.

It has been almost a year since I first discovered Bloom & Wild and the flower delivery service they provide. I wrote about my first impressions here and explained some of the benefits to a flower subscription service but since then Bloom & Wild have come on a long way. I thought that with spring starting to make an appearance and the fact that Mother's Day is just around the corner in the UK now would be an ideal time to share the updates with you!

DIY: HAND PAINTED CACTI POTS.

There has been a huge resurgence in the popularity of houseplants in recent months and I for one am loving it.  I am very fortunate that every room in my apartment leads out on a large balcony in which I have been growing herbs and plants on for years now but in the past year or so my little green friends have slowly been creeping indoors. The one room they had yet to make an appearance in was my office and as I have been trying to refresh this space recently I thought it was about time I got some indoor plants for this room too!

THE START OF OUR RECORD COLLECTION.

You may remember back in January when I shared my latest homewear haul with you all that I mentioned purchasing a record player for the boyfriend this Christmas. Well, a few months have since passed and we have slowly but surely been adding some new records to our collection. We are trying to be quite selective in which records we actually buy, in the age of digital music with streaming sites like Spotify growing bigger and bigger each day I wanted to have a dedicated little collection of music that I truly love and that stands the test of time.
