RECENT HOMEWEAR PURCHASES.

Not the most inspiring title there Jessica but we shall roll with it. We've had our apartment valued for sale this week and fingers crossed we will be putting it on the market at the beginning of April. Meaning that these types of post will be put on the back burner for a while whilst we save some money towards moving costs and all the things we are undoubtedly going to have to buy moving into a much larger property.  One thing I cannot say no to though is a bargain so I wanted to share some of the little bits I could not help but pick up over the past couple of weeks.

It all started with this black hexagonal geo lamp shade from The Range. I was just casually walking past the lighting section on my way to pick up some cat food when I caught a glimpse of this light fitting, I then saw the price, just £19.99 and fled for the tills. It wasn't until I got home that afternoon that I realised where I had seen something so similar before, Made.com's Hive Pendent. After seeing the price difference I sent the boyfriend back the next morning to pick up another one so that we could hang them in our living/dining room and was relieved when he said he had picked up the last one. Unfortunately though I have not seen them in store since, or even online for that matter, so I'm not sure if they are still available but I suggest keeping your eyes pealed because these are such a great piece of design for a fraction of the designer price tag.

Recently I have been really getting into splitting up bouquets of flowers to make multiple smaller ones and therefore have been in need of a smaller vase. I have also been in the market for some candles to stand in my H&M wire candlestick so after few failed shopping trips to my local highstreet I decided to have a look online and see what I could find, I went through my arsenal of interior stores and stopped at Mia Fleur. I ended up picking up these Dip Dyed Candles which look amazing in my copper candlestick and this almost origami-esque Geometric Porcelain Vase together for under £30.

Lastly I picked up some more digital prints from my favourite Etsy seller Dantell, whom I recently purchased the "More Issues Than Vogue" print that I featured in my how to create affordable wall art post! This time I picked up both the Paris Map and the Bob Marley quote for just £3.44 each and printing was only a couple of pound on top of that. I am not going to go into too much detail about exactly what I have done with these latest prints just yet as I intend to show you that in a future blog post so you will have to come back for that one!

What is your favourite thing that I have brought over the past couple of weeks? For me it has to be the light shade but the geometric vase comes in a very close second. I cant believe we are finally getting the moving process started as I already have so many ideas for my future home that undoubtedly will be recoded on this blog, I am so excited to see what the future holds and share my moving home journey with you.

  1. Snap with the beautiful Geo vase! I bought mine from a Not On The High Street seller, and they've added a few more colours, I feel I might have to be getting the peach ones now too. The lamp shade is absolutely gorgeous too.
