It is just under a week until the big day is upon us and I am guessing that by now most people will be done with their frantic Christmas shopping. With only 6 days to go I thought it was about time that I shared this years gift wrap for any of you still with piles of presents waiting to be wrapped.
I have already shared some gift tag DIYs with you here so you have had a little bit of a sneak peak of what this years gift wrap looks like but I decided to keep a little something from you. Similarly to last year I stuck with a rough theme of brown kraft paper as I still had a couple of rolls left over from last christmas and fell in love with this wood grain paper from Paperchase. I also picked up some of these kraft stag gift boxes for some tricky to wrap gifts.
Once I had picked up all my wrapping paper and gift boxes I tried to come up with some slightly more original ways of wrapping the gifts. For this I used some raffia on the gift boxes and curled the ends of the bow by tightly wrapping the raffia around a pencil like you would your hair when curling it with tongs. Along with this and the DIY gift tags I made I wanted to make a few certain special gifts stand out against the rest and I did this by using my Fujifilm Instax Share Smartphone Printer to print some festive polaroids to use as gift tags. To attach the polaroids to the gifts I wrapped them up in bakers twin to create a bow and then used mini clothes pegs to clip the polaroid onto the bakers twine.
I hope that this offers any of you last minute shoppers out there some gift wrap inspiration!
So beautiful!! This looks absolutely lovely!
