LEYLA CEMAL DWTN NECKLACE.

LEYLA-CEMAL

My love for the online jewellery retailer My Flash Trash has been previously noted here back in July when I was on the hunt for the perfect birthday gift to myself. Fast forward 6 months and that dreaded "what do you want for Christmas?" question was being bombarded at me from all angles, so I sent the boyfriend directly to My Flash Trash with one simple requirement, gold.

To my surprise the boyfriend truly outdid himself and came up trumps with one of my favourite pieces from the entire website, this Date With The Night necklace from jewellery designer and metalsmith Leyla Cemal. I loved the piece from the get go with its 24 carat gold geometric diamond design, half filled diamond packed with crushed pyrite on a vintage 30inch chain.  The pieces themselves are completely handmade in East London and maintain the highest level of quality. I have been wearing mine non stop and have thankfully had no problems despite worrying about the pyrite possibly falling out. This is such a versatile accessory that I have found myself throwing it on with most outfits, whether that be jeans and a T-shirt to nip to the supermarket or paired with a formal dress for a night out. Pyrite, known as fools gold for its metallic lustre, is the perfect stone to fill the half diamond in my eyes as it add a perfect amount of sparkle without feeling like you're wearing a disco ball around your neck. You can pick up this necklace for yourself directly from Leyla Cemal or via My Flash Trash where this piece retails for £80.

I am not a huge ring girl but if you are there are some serious gems to be found from this brand! I'm not going to lie though, I want the matching DWTN bracelet and silver necklace already so I highly suggest you check this talented brand out if you are in the market for some new jewellery to brighten up this dreary January.
