FUJIFILM INSTAX SHARE SMARTPHONE PRINTER.

ladylikelen-blog

Oh yeah, you did just read that title correctly! With the ever growing popularity of the Fujifilm Instax instant cameras it came as no surprise really that the company would want to extend the range and make the most out of current revival in instant photography. This time though the brains behind Fujifilm have really stepped it up a gear and instead of making another variation of their already extremely popular cameras they have branched out into printers, smartphone printers none the less!

I am guessing from the fact that you are sat here reading this little space of the internet on some form technological device that you are probably just as into your smartphone as I am and chances are you wouldn't consider leaving your home without it. This is really where this printer comes into its own as it allows you to take photos on your smartphone and then wirelessly print them via the free app right then and there or at a later date. By allowing you to print photos that have already been taken this opens up essentially every digital photo you have taken and allows you to print them in the adorable Instax fashion.

I actually already own an instant camera from the brand but find myself frequently forgetting to take it with me on my travels. I am pretty ashamed to say it but the camera now spends most of its life tucked away in a cupboard collecting dust waiting for me to fall back in love with it. Unfortunately this printer is the final nail in the coffin for that instant camera as this allows me to print photos taken on any of my cameras, as long as I have them on a file of my smartphone, or even Facebook. The printer itself is battery powered, light and easily fits in your hand so that if you do fancy taking it out on the road with you and experiencing the joy instant photography you can. This just allows you to preview and select the specific images you want printed as apposed to wasting your precious film on distinctly average shots of the sky. Conveniently the film that this printer uses is the same that is used in the Fujifilm Instax Mini so if you already own one of the instant cameras you don't need to worry about buying another pack.

This printer was actually a gift from my lovely boyfriend but if you wanted to get one for yourself you can pick them up from £140 but I would recommend purchasing off Amazon where you get two packs of film included in the price. The printer is rather pricey compared to the other cameras available but for the versatility that this offers it easily surpasses the other products in my opinion. I would personally purchase this printer over the cameras any day of the week.

Overall I am a little bit obsessed and have already used up one pack of film since receiving this for my birthday on the 28th July. What do you think of this new take on instant photography?

  5. Really handy product, I can't wait for mine to arrive! I was wondering about the white/grey material the instax printer is sitting on.. I really like the design and am wondering what it is (i.e. scarf or fabric throwover?) and where I can get one? Thanks! x

    1. Hello there, you can pick up the throw from very.co.uk, if you search for "Herringbone Throw" it should come up in different colour variations as well as the grey :) x
